Had to write to tell you of some amazing success I had with Prolong Transmission Treatment. I have a 1993 Chrysler Intrepid. I started having trouble with the transmission, the car would stick in 1st gear. Shutting the car off and restarting would correct the problem. This happened about once a week for about six months, then it was happening every time I stopped. I replaced the control module, but it didn’t fix the problem. Next I changed the oil and filter… still no improvement. It was going to cost $2,000 to replace the tranny and I debated spending that much money on a car with 280,000 kilometers. Purely by accident I saw Prolong at Wal*Mart and decided to give it a try. Wow! Was I surprised when I put it in the tranny and almost immediately started to notice improvement. I have an1989 Eldorado, that just recently developed a huge slip in my transmission. I thought I was going to have to spend a great deal money for either a new transmission or have mine rebuilt. “No questions… Just comments. The way I talk to friends about prolong. You would think I own this company. I have been using these products starting in 1994 with the Engine treatment. Now I use everything you make.
I cut grass for a living, and make a good living doing it. At one of my kids birthday party I thought about a good prolong engine treatment demonstration. I got out a yard man push mower,with a 4.5 HP Briggs on it. It uses a splash system for lubrication. Well…the machine holds 1 us qt of SAE 30 of oil. I poured 2 oz of engine treatment in the engine and cranked it up. People watched while I began to mow my yard while a party was going on. About 5 min of mowing I shut it down and pulled the drain plug and all the oil poured out into a pan. people were looking at me like I was on pills! I put the drain plug on the step of the house and started cutting grass again. Oil free! 5 people took turns pushing the mower ( in the heat of the summer) know one could understand what was going on. I then set the running mower aside and let it run out of gas. My friends watched as the mower ran.
We all got in my toyota and went to autozone and the each got a bottle of engine treatment. I could work for this company salary free. I just love the stuff! ”

“I have been pushing your product on my family and friends since 1996. I was attending DeVry University in 1996 when the unexpected happened to my car. It was a 30 mile trip one way to school. I owned an 84 Z28 and decided to race an older gentleman in his mustang on my way to class on I294. I pushed my stock Z28 way beyond its limits. I won the wimpy race and made it to class with plenty of time to spare. After 8 hours of class I approached my vehicle to see a huge puddle of oil under my car. I checked the dip stick. Dry. I used prolong engine treatment since the day I purchased the car and used the engine boost every oil change. But I never filled out your warranty paperwork.
So being an 18 year old college student and flat broke, I decided to drive the car as close to home as possible so that the towing fee wouldnt be so hefty. I hadn’t even thought about prolong at this point. I stayed in the far right lane and kept the car at 55 mph. Just waiting for the worst to happen. The next thing I know im in my driveway with a blown oil pan gasket. So I called a tow truck the next day and had it towed to my local shade tree mechanic. He had no idea about the long drive with no oil because I felt embarrassed. I got a call from him a couple hours later and he asked if I had put a new crate motor in my car recently. I said no why??? He said that the inside of the motor was shiny metal and no sludge! I then told him about the drive home and he thought I was pulling his leg. 30 miles at 55 mph with no oil. I still have the motor today. I eventually put high performance parts on the motor and sold it to my father to pay off the rest of my college debt!

I was using Arco gasoline in my Buick LaSabre (2000), as a savings option. My engine began to foul and the check engine light eventually came on I returned to the dealer and was informed that there is some particular additive in the Arco gasoline which is not compatible with the GMC injectors… the problem was addressed. Performance had not returned however, so needless to say I had been disappointed. When you sent the injector cleaner I felt anything would be worth a try. I followed the directions and I must say that I am most impressed with the product. The engine performance has returned as though it was new and the mileage has improved dramatically.

Waterless Wash & Shine


When introduced to Prolong Waterless Wash & Shine, I was very skeptical of it’s claims…I could not imagine not using water to clean my car.  I did give it a try, based on hearing how good it was.  I am a believer!  I have used the product in the shade, in scorching sun, in the garage, and every time, I get a beautiful shine, reminiscent of a good wax job, without the annoying build-up.  I have used it as a touch-up when my wife parks under a tree, and it works on chrome, paint and the painted plastic accents on my truck.

Though the Prolong website FAQS call for terry cloth towels, the microfiber cloths sold at Harbor Freight also do a great job.  Love it!

AFMT™ (Anti-Friction Metal Treatment)


Production drive-line gearboxes used at an assembly plant have historically been replaced at 2-4 gearboxes per month.  The gearboxes tended to operate at fairly high temperatures.  Upon the application of Prolong AFMT the gearboxes remained only warm to the touch.  All 400+ gearboxes on the production line were treated with AFMT.  It was been over 41/2 years and the plant has had NO gearbox failures in Prolong-treated equipment.

Plant operating a leased fleet of 42 “5-year throwaway” lift trucks, was experiencing so many gearbox failures, downtime and repair-related issues, that they decided in the third year of operation to install 10% Prolong AFMT into each truck.  Their desire was to “get through” two more years before having to discard these trucks for a new leased fleet.  The fleet is now in its ninth year of operation and running so well that, in the eighth year, the entire fleet was purchased.

Gold mine had been having problems keeping cooling tower gearboxes at acceptable temperature levels.  Temperature on 5 gearboxes was 58 degrees C standing in open air.  In an open space, the weather plays a big role.  They treated the gearboxes with AFMT after which the temperature dropped to 43 degrees C.  By using Prolong in these 5 gearboxes and all 5 showing a temperature drop of 15 degrees C, this showed conclusive evidence that Prolong took away the friction in the gearboxes, which resulted in a 35% drop in temperature.

After seeing your impressive demonstration of your Prolong products, we made the decision to test it in our truck #53, which is a Cummins with 552,433 miles and a 12315 transmission.  (We used AFMT in the crankcase, transmission, front differential, rear differential, and to each of the front wheel hubs.  We then applied Diesel Conditioner to 200 gallons of diesel fuel).  After the first week of travel, which was about 7,000 miles, the test results showed that the mpg went from 4mpg to 5mpg, an increase of 25% in mileage, or an additional 200 miles per fill-up.  The driver of the truck (who was never told of the Prolong addition), noticed that the shifting of the gears was so much smoother and easier.  He also noticed a substantial increase in horsepower.  In general, the whole truck runs better and smoother.  We hope to be able to add it to the rest of our tanker fleet soon.

Athletic wear plant uses a 2600-ft chain on overhead chain conveyor. The chain cost was $25,000 every 18 months due to extreme wear. Noise levels were extremely high due to poor lubrication of the chain. Grit and dirty residues would contaminate annual production at appreciable levels and result in scrap. After AFMT was added, the noise was virtually eliminated overnight. Over a period of 24 months, there was no evidence of any chain wear, and no build up of gritty residues. NO scrap product due to dripping oil was created, returning significant levels of production effort to the retail market.

Plant used Prolong AFMT and EP-2 Grease, which improved bearing life. Their reduced energy costs have been realized in virtually all applications. Their pulverizors had an immediate amp drop of 5-15% after treatment with AFMT. Noise levels were reduced markedly with speed reducers after an addition of only 3-5% AFMT. Prior to the application of Prolong, vertical pumps suffered continual loss of bearings. About 12 years ago i bought a 1992 dodge dakata 4×4 with a 3.9 v6 with 87000 miles on it. I had seen prolong used at the race track in town here and thought I would try it in my truck so i bought some and have been using it ever sence on everything i drive I still have the truck i just turned over 240,000 miles everyone laughs at it cause it rattles alot I run 20w50 and prolong in it all year long it’s so loose i can just about turn it over by hand without using a wrench I just put a new trans it and started using your trans lube. I tell everyone that when the engine does die i’ll just put another one and start over . EP-2 Multi-Purpose Grease


Steel mill had a pillow block bearing running at 326 degrees. Normal operating temperature was 190 degrees. The fourteen-year old bearing was smoking, but they had to keep production going until the morning when maintenance could fix it with new parts. They used EP-2 Grease and twenty minutes later, the temperature had dropped to 260 degrees, the smoking and squealing had stopped. Through the night, the temperature had dropped to 130 degrees and leveled out at 167.

Gold mine’s initial problem was that a set of bearings had score marks causing the operating temperature to rise and no replacement bearings were available for approximately 2 weeks. They turned the white metal bearing caps around, i.e. top to bottom, cleaned the old grease and contamination out, filled with Prolong EP-2 Grease and ran for 4 weeks until a scheduled repair could be done with new bearings. They only run on EP-2 now, but use far less for longer than the old type of grease with better bearing life.

South African Bureau of Standards, South Africa

Research scientists at Northwestern University, sponsored by the Infrastructure Technology Institute, conducted a laboratory project “to study the effect of various lubricants on the wear and corrosion of metals recommended for bridge pin and eyebar connections”. Scientists ran corrosion tests in a salt fog chamber to replicate the environmental conditions United States bridges are exposed to. They used several types of metals and 7 competitive greases in their testing.

Findings are as follows:

  • “Prolong EP-2 gave an exceptional reduction in corrosion rate”
  • “Results show Prolong EP-2 Grease to be about 10 times more resistant to corrosion than a typical wheel bearing grease”

They ran a series of mixed grease tests on wear and corrosion resistance and concluded, “None of the mixed greases performed as well as Prolong EP-2 Grease, however, there was some reduction in corrosion as the percent of Prolong EP-2 increased”.

Cement company operates a Fuller Kavako to unload cement from the hold of cargo ships. The Fuller’s bearing must be greased every 6 hours and the procedure takes 45 minutes. However, since we began using EP-2 Grease the between greasing has increased to every 2 days. Using your product had led us to substantial savings. We have also begun using EP-2 Grease on the basket elevator. We originally greased the bearings every other day. Since using your product, it is now only necessary to grease the bearings twice a week.”

Hydraulic System Treatment


This letter was written to inform you about the experiences we have encountered using Prolong in two of our cranes. Crane #1 is a 140-ton TMS 1400 Grove hydraulic crane. We put a 10% solution in the upper and lower engines… our engine temperature dropped from around 200 to 205 degrees to around 180 to 185 degrees under identical working conditions. Also our planetaries, one in particular was running around 200 to 270 degrees. Now, after Prolong, the temperature is about 145 to 170 degrees, a 100 degree drop or more, unbelievable.

SPL100® Super Penetrating Lubricant


Hi, I want to tell you how great your SPL 100 is. I have two wrought iron gates on the side of my house separating the backyard pool from the front /street side. On of these gates is hit by our sprinkler system every week and starts to squeak. Water Soluble Cutting Fluid


Plant operating hydraulic bandsaws tested product in place of existing fluid. Saw-blade life was measured, as well as annual cost of blades. Previous saw operation was 35 cuts per blade at an annual cost of $1,500,000. With Prolong Ultra Cut 1, the saw operated 50 cuts per blade at a savings of $450,000 annually.

Boeing’s use of Prolong Ultra Cut for machining applications has had positive results. After the first week of travel, which was about 7,000 miles, the test results showed that the mpg went from 4mpg to 5mpg, an increase of 25% in mileage, or an additional 200 miles per fill-up. The driver of the truck (who was never told of the Prolong addition) noticed that the shifting of the gears was so much smoother and easier. He also noticed a substantial increase in horsepower. In general, the whole truck runs better and smoother. We hope to be able to add it to the rest of our tanker fleet soon.

Waterless Wash & Shine


When introduced to Prolong Waterless Wash & Shine, I was very skeptical of it’s claims…I could not imagine not using water to clean my car.  I did give it a try, based on hearing how good it was.  I am a believer!  I have used the product in the shade, in scorching sun, in the garage, and every time, I get a beautiful shine, reminiscent of a good wax job, without the annoying build-up.  I have used it as a touch-up when my wife parks under a tree, and it works on chrome, paint and the painted plastic accents on my truck.

Though the Prolong website FAQS call for terry cloth towels, the microfiber cloths sold at Harbor Freight also do a great job.  Love it!
